About the role:

You will play a key role in ensuring global distribution compliance by applying best‑practice risk management, safeguarding GDP regulations, and driving continuous improvement. In this role, you will help protect patients through resilient supply continuity, support innovation in logistics, and embed sustainability principles that contribute to UCB’s GREEN objectives.

Who you will work with:

You will collaborate closely with partners across Global Distribution, In‑Market Supply Chain, Site Supply Chain Management, Global Quality, and Regulatory teams. You will also work with external logistics service providers and vendors. You will operate cross‑functionally, engaging with diverse stakeholders to ensure consistent compliance standards, strong operational readiness, and shared best practices globally.

What you will do:

You will establish a strategy for shipping qualifications including both mechanical and thermal qualifications.
You will act as a subject matter expert on shipping qualification, authoring and reviewing protocols and reports for logistics packaging systems.
You will drive continuous improvement initiatives covering shipping system solutions and ensure its qualifications and periodic review
You will be responsible for defining and aligning compliance processes to ensure consistent global standards across Patient Supply.
You will manage risk assessments and implement proactive mitigation plans that strengthen supply resilience.
You will provide training and support to stakeholders across markets, collaborate with CDMO partners, Quality and other business functions.
You will drive improvement initiatives targeting cost and CO₂ reduction through optimized shipping solutions.
You will ensure audit readiness and act as SME during inspections from authorities (GDP, MHRA, FDA, ANVISA) and external/internal auditors.

We are looking for an External Manufacturing Operations Lead to join us in our External Manufacturing Department, based in Braine, Belgium.

About the role

As the External Manufacturing Operations Lead for Drug Substance, you will be responsible for the overall performance of contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and key suppliers within your portfolio (here in identified as third parties). Your focus will be on ensuring reliable supply, prompt issue resolution, and strong partnerships with stakeholders. You will guide the UCB vendor team (a team dedicated to management of given third party) and act as the primary contact and relationship manager with third parties, maintaining strong connections to ensure sites meet expectations and UCB needs.

Who you’ll work with

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional and matrix teams within UCB, as well as with third parties leadership teams and strategic vendors. Your daily interactions will include internal stakeholders from various UCB functions, external business partners, and senior management members of third parties. Through these partnerships, you will foster effective communication, drive operational excellence, and ensure that all parties are aligned toward achieving shared goals.

Principe of Good Distribution Practices as required in EC Directive 2013/C68/01

Provide timely and efficient GMP/GDP IMP Release function to all relevant UCB project activities related to the development of the pipeline projects (included all relevant activities for IMP release: batch record documentation, etc…).
Support compliance with all relevant and appropriate regulations and guidelines, such as those relating to GMP/GDP, health and safety, etc.
Support in-licensing activities by providing Quality Assurance expertise for the evaluation of new project opportunities including participation in due diligence activities.
Ensure the Clinical Supply Quality activities are consistent across the range of different environments and teams supported (Vendors / Suppliers / in house).
Proactively support the activities of Clinical supply for relevant manufacturing quality systems (deviation close out / Change management / complaints / quality improvement).

Drive creation, evolution, and governance of visual identity, graphic charters, and artwork deliverables.

À propos du rôle

Dans ce rôle, vous allez jouer un rôle clé dans la garantie de la qualité microbiologique des produits, du développement jusqu’au commercial. Vous allez réaliser des analyses microbiologiques de release, piloter les validations de méthodes et agir comme référent·e technique au laboratoire. Vous contribuerez activement à la routine du laboratoire ainsi qu’aux investigations, aux audits, à la digitalisation et à l’amélioration continue, dans le respect des exigences GMP.

Avec qui vous allez travailler

Vous allez évoluer au sein d’une équipe QC Microbiologie pluridisciplinaire, en collaboration étroite avec des technicien·ne·s, QC specialist , responsables de laboratoire et équipes de production. Vous travaillerez en partenariat avec l’équipe du QC microbiologie, la Qualité, et la Production dans un environnement collaboratif et orienté partage des connaissances.

Ce que vous allez faire

Vous allez réaliser des analyses microbiologiques pour le release, les IPC, les stabilités et investigations.

Vous allez conduire et documenter les validations de méthodes microbiologiques.

Vous allez être référent·e technique pour certaines méthodes analytiques et activités EM.

Vous allez soutenir les investigations, contaminations et prélèvements terrain.

Vous allez contribuer à la digitalisation des processus analytiques et documentaires.

Vous allez promouvoir les GMP, la sécurité, l’intégrité des données et l’amélioration continue.

Intéressé·e ? Pour ce rôle, nous recherchons le profil suivant :

Minimum 5 ans d’expérience dans l’industrie pharmaceutique.

Minimum 3 ans d’expérience en laboratoire de microbiologie ou EM.

Maîtrise des méthodes microbiologiques, EM, stérilité, endotoxines et biocharge.

Bonne connaissance des cGMP, pharmacopées, data integrity et principes ALCOA+.

Maîtrise du français et bon niveau d’anglais écrit.

Esprit proactif, orienté solutions et capable de gérer plusieurs priorités.

Flexible – travail occasionnel en week-end et jours fériés et participation à la rotation de l’horaire décalé 10h00-18h30 mis en place dans l’équipe de techniciens.

To strengthen our Global QA for QA Operations department we are looking for a talented profile to fill the position of: QA Manager – QC Process Support – Braine l’Alleud, Belgium.

About the role

The QA Manager – QC process support provides quality expertise and ensures appropriate global oversight of Patient Supply Quality Control processes, with a primary focus on the execution of QC processes and related projects, including specifications, stability studies (protocols and reports), analytical reference standards, critical materials and standards, laboratory third parties, compendial changes and raw‑material vendor certification.

The QA Manager – QC process support works closely with Patient Supply Quality Control teams, relevant supporting functions, and external laboratory partners and Contract Laboratory Organizations (CLOs). The role collaborates cross‑functionally to ensure compliant execution of global QC activities, effective management of QC processes such as management of critical materials and stability studies, and smooth coordination between QC, supporting services, and external partners.

The position can act as back-up for his direct colleagues or for his manager according to the manager’s instructions and after appropriate training

General QA Role

Using a Risk Based Approach, ensure that PSQC Processes & Operations are compliant with applicable regulations and guidelines (EMEA, FDA, PIC/S, ICH, best practices as defined by relevant organizations) and UCB Policies & Procedures
Drive quality leadership and provide technical expertise on compliance strategy.
Communicate processes requirements effectively across functional areas.
Promoting culture of quality, operational excellence and “SOSD” (See it, Own it, Solve it, Do it) attitude within Patient Supply Quality Control.
Deliver general cGMP training and effective coaching on QMS to relevant stakeholders.
Communicate compliance status and issues to appropriate organizational levels.
Support regulatory inspections/audits, providing dynamic assistance to SME’s.

Patient Supply Quality Control Process

- Participate in the improvement of the PSQC processes
- Ensure adequate coaching and training of relevant stakeholders on the PSQC processes
- Oversee critical global activities to ensure analytical operations are conducted in accordance with UCB Quality Standards and applicable national and/or international regulations and guidelines (EMEA, FDA, PIC/S, ICH)
- Ensure subcontractors supporting QC routine operations maintain adequate cGMP standards
- Implement and maintain adequate Quality & Compliance indicators and communicate results to appropriate levels of the organization

Continuous Improvement

- Identify, coordinate and support opportunities for improvement and operational excellence projects in response to business needs, technical changes, risks, audit observations and regulatory requirements.
- Lead or co-lead internal quality spot checks/audits to ensure compliance with internal standards and worldwide regulatory requirements with respect to cGMP.
- Conduct or support Quality Reviews exercises (e.g. Management/Product Reviews, etc)
- Identify, coordinate and support Continuous Improvement projects (LEAN, 6-Sigma, Green belt and others) with QC management to enhance quality KPI’s and product/process quality.

Bachelor’s, master’s degree or an education in a relevant scientific discipline
Fluent English & French communication (oral and written)
Strong knowledge and proven experience in Quality Control and applicable regulations
Proven understanding of QC processes: stability studies, material management, specification management.
Experience with Quality Management System and Internal/External Auditing
Ability to balance multiple priorities, provide leadership and prioritisation, and work with minimal supervision
Fact based decision maker with accountability and delivering attitude
Excellent team player attitude with excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills
Ability to plan and direct the actions of a group of professionals and Quality Assurance personnel in multidisciplinary investigations / meetings

Vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la sécurisation des approvisionnements en matières critiques pour les laboratoires analytiques, depuis la phase III jusqu’à l’ensemble du cycle de vie du produit. Opérateur Zone Aseptique (CDD de 6 mois) (Braine L'alleud, Walloon Brabant, BE)

Nous cherchons un(e) Opérateur(trice) de Production Aseptique qui est passionné(e), méticuleux(se) et autonome pour nous rejoindre dans notre équipe de production, basée dans notre campus UCB situé à Braine-l-Alleud.

À propos du rôle :

Vous serez responsable d'assurer la qualité et la continuité de la production injectable, en nettoyant les sas d'accès en zone B, en réceptionnant et approvisionnant la zone aseptique en équipements et matériels stériles, et en effectuant diverses opérations de maintenance et de contrôle.

Avec qui vous allez travailler :

Vous ferez partie d'une équipe dynamique et collaborative, où votre contribution sera essentielle à la réussite collective de nos opérations de production.

Ce que vous allez faire :

· Vous allez effectuer les opérations pour garantir la qualité et la continuité de la production injectable.

· Vous serez responsable du nettoyage des sas d'accès en zone B.

· Vous gérerez la réception et l'approvisionnement de la zone aseptique en équipements et matériels stériles.

· Vous veillerez à l'ordre, à la propreté et à la gestion des déchets dans la zone aseptique.

· Vous contrôlerez le nettoyage et vérifierez le statut des équipements et locaux de la zone de production aseptique.

· Vous déchargerez l'autoclave de stérilisation du matériel et contrôlerez le matériel de production après la stérilisation avant de le stocker en zone aseptique.

· Vous effectuerez le monitoring d'environnement selon les procédures en vigueur.
